With administrator setup complete, developers can build enterprise applications directly within the Neptune DXP - Open Edition App Designer using the Naia Build workspace. The process moves from natural language requirements through to a tested, documented application, combining AI-assisted generation with low-code control at every stage. Each step in the scenario is self-contained and can be revisited independently as development progresses.

  1. Set up Naia Build workspace: Orient yourself in Naia Build, configure your AI mode, and prepare your app designing environment before you prompt.

  2. Plan your app via prompt: Structure requirements before any code is generated. Review and edit the plan upfront.

  3. Scaffold your app: Turn your approved plan into a working skeleton application using the Chat tab.

  4. Connect data sources and APIs: Connect system APIs so Naia Build can generate data-aware UI and logic.

  5. Iterate on the UI with Smart Inspect: Refine individual components visually. Select, annotate, and copy styles.

  6. Switch to App Designer for low-code fine-tuning: Take manual control of specific components in the Neptune DXP - Open Edition App Designer without losing AI context.

  7. Debug your app: Identify and resolve logic errors quickly using a debugging mode and the developer console.

  8. Test application across devices and share: Preview app on tablet and mobile viewports, then share instantly via QR code.

  9. Generate app documentation: Trigger background documentation agents and review auto-generated technical overviews.

  10. Review history and revert changes: Audit every change, compare versions side by side, and roll back safely.
