Highlights

Naia for Business AI Studio

A new set of tools to define models, agents and AI tools, configure guardrails, view logs and use a prebuilt chat client. Deploy agents with platform support for capabilities such as table vectorization and managed runtime behavior.

SAP Integration Hub

The SAP Integration Hub toolset is included and fully functional in this Neptune DXP - Open Edition 24.14.0 release. To use it, a valid license for Neptune DXP - Open Edition 24.14.0 that enables the framework is required.

The SAP Integration Hub is a unified ABAP integration layer that converts custom ABAP into REST APIs (ECC or S/4HANA → ABAP Cloud services). It supports on-stack or side-by-side deployment and hybrid migration patterns to accelerate RISE / S/4HANA transitions. Deployment of the SAP Integration Hub requires version 24.14.0 of Neptune DXP - Open Edition.

Vault and secret management

A central encrypted secret store for authentication materials and tokens with Script Editor integration and runtime access controls so server scripts and platform connectors can retrieve secrets securely.

Platform i18n

Translation pages are deprecated and replaced by a standard end-to-end i18n model. Text and bindings are available across App Designer, Adaptive Designer and templates, tiles and tile groups, launchpad login screens, Cockpit and email templates to improve consistency and translation workflows.

UI5 Theme Generator

Produce full UI5 themes from a handful of brand inputs using UI5 1.136 CSS variables. Supports light/dark variants, focus colours, and component-level color controls with a live preview for rapid branding.

Dynamic Route Rewrite

Dynamic route rewrite and custom routing support for flexible URL handling and enterprise navigation scenarios.

Enhancements

App Designer and scripting

Major ergonomics and productivity upgrades: expression-binding UX (syntax highlighting, auto-complete, error checking and a test facility), color picker, variable/parameter panels in formatters/events, new MultiModel initialization options, TypeScript type generation for MultiModels, and attribute validation to reduce activation/runtime errors.

Server-script debugging

Richer server debugging experience including server-script API inspection, TypeScript debugging support, improved breakpoints and hover indicators, and better tooling for examining API conditions and projects.

Adaptive Framework and Designer

Template and designer refinements: new adaptive template options (vertical/horizontal tabs), runtime i18n binding, pre-save scripts, RangeSlider filters, improved field mapping and import tooling, and numerous stability and authoring fixes.

Launchpad & Cockpit

Expanded search into tile metadata and subgroups, header and icon height configuration, and multiple reliability/PWA/offline improvements. Cockpit gains better theming, enhanced search and new admin settings.

Login and unified password reset

OAuth 2.0 providers can appear as branded login buttons. New unified token-based flow for both external user registration and password reset (users receive a token link where they set their password).

Miscellaneous

  • System setting to enforce role configuration.

  • Broad quality, security and backend fixes: .env support, safer cookie/session handling, Redis reconnection improvements, and deployment/packaging.

Deprecations

SAP HANA DB integration was discontinued as part of a cleanup of legacy database connectors.

Upgrade notes

Offline license invalidation

This notice applies only to customers already running Neptune DXP - Open Edition 24.

If you are using an offline license, and are upgrading from DXP24.12.1 or earlier, your current license will be invalidated.

You must complete offline license setup again after upgrading.

Version dependencies

  • Updated OpenUI5 CDN references to ensure compatibility with the latest supported versions

  • Upgraded Node.js binary to Node.js 22.21.0 to stay aligned with current development and security enhancements of Node.js

    Node.js upgrade from version 18 to version 22.21.0 in Neptune DXP - Open Edition

    The following information applies only when upgrading from Neptune DXP - Open Edition versions 24.11.0 or earlier. If you are already on Neptune DXP - Open Edition version 24.12.0, or above, these notes do not apply.

    • Remove node_sqlite3.node from the root directory before running the Neptune DXP - Open Edition executable. If not removed, Neptune DXP - Open Edition will not start.

    • Test your server script code in a QA system before upgrading your production system, as this patch might introduce breaking changes.

    While you can run any Node.js 22 version, Neptune recommends running the same version as your Neptune DXP - Open Edition instance.
