Configure general information about your launchpad
In this topic, you learn how to configure general information about your launchpad.
Procedure

In the Cockpit, select the Launchpad tool.
Result: A table of existing launchpads is shown.

Select Create.

In Name, enter a meaningful name for the launchpad. The name of the launchpad refers to the name of the launchpad artifact in the system.

Select Create.
Result: You start in the General tab of the launchpad.

In Title, enter a meaningful title for the launchpad. The title of the launchpad refers to the displayed name of the launchpad.

In the Cookie section, you can enable a cookie confirmation dialog with relevant title and messaging for the use of cookies on the launchpad.

In the Blackout section, you can enable messages and provide them to the user. Blackout messages are displayed on the launchpad when a selected application cannot be reached.

If you want only one app to be shown on your launchpad, you can select this app in the Single App Launchpad section. All other apps and tiles that might have been selected will be hidden.

In Launchpad Footer, reference a custom footer made in the App Designer using the custom component

. Include interactive buttons for the footer by includingsap.M.Button
components within the custom component. -
In the Login section, you define methods of how users login to your launchpad. You can create login scenarios in the authentication tab of the System Settings.

In the UI5 section, you can select the UI5 version your launchpad uses.

In the Customization tab, under the Settings section, you can change general settings regarding the behaviour of your launchpad. Such as: Hide Launchpad Header, Hide Launchpad Search, Disable Splitview, Disable Customizations, Configure customizations for each individual device e.g. Mobile, Tablet and Desktop separately, Disable redirecting user to home screen when hash navigation fails during navigation (in other words, when selected, when a user goes to an invalid URL when navigating in the launchpad, the user is not redirected to the launchpad home screen), Client Request Timeout (in seconds) is the amount of time a client request can wait for a response before getting terminated), Fixed Launchpad Width, Enable Launchpad & Tile Trace, or Enable Push Notifications, etc.

In the Main Menu Display section, you can choose whether the menu is displayed in the header.

To display all shell bar elements, for example, a company logo and further shell bar button names, on one line, select One-Line Top Menu.

In the Active Apps Display for Desktop section, you have the option to modify the way currently active apps are displayed on desktop.

In the Active Apps Display for Mobile section, you have the option to modify he way currently active apps are displayed on mobile devices.

In the Highcharts section, you can select to disable the loading of highcharts in a launchpad.

In the External Users tab, allows external users to log in to your launchpad, and you can specify under what conditions this action can be performed, such as: assigning a role, or a security group.

In the Global Style tab, you can apply a custom CSS layout from the Global Style tool to apply to the launchpad.

In the Role tab, you can assign a user role from the Role tool to a launchpad.

Select Save.
If no language is selected or the language setting is empty in the launchpad user settings, the default language specified in Custom Settings will be used. |
