Create an authentication method in Neptune DXP - Open Edition

In this topic, you learn how to create an authentication method based on the certificate in Neptune DXP - Open Edition.

Procedure

  1. In the Cockpit, go to Security and select Proxy Authentication.

  2. Select Add.

    Result: The Authentication settings window opens.

    Details of how to add an authentication method are described in the documentation.
  3. Enter a Name and X.509 as Type.

  4. Go to the X.509 tab.

  5. In Sign with, select the certificate you created.

  6. In Assign user field to CN, select email.

  7. Fill in the other fields with the same data you used for the certificate.

  8. To prevent SAP cookies being stored in the browser that retain an old user session, in the Header tab, enter the following parameters:

    • Name: x-sap-security-session

    • Value: disabled

  9. Select Save.

Results

  • You have created an authentication method in your Neptune DXP - Open Edition.
