Add actions to your tile

In this topic, you learn how to add further actions to your tile. For better visibility during configuration, the list view of available tiles in the Tile tool displays red highlighting to tiles where action types and associated actions are not configured.

Prerequisites

Procedure

The configuration options depend on the Type you select.
  1. In the Action section, you decide what type the additional action on your tile is.

    Adaptive Framework

    Select an adaptive framework that is stored in the system.

    Application

    Select a Remote system to which you want to log in. Select an Application you want to run there.

    Tile Group

    Enter a tile group that should open.

    URL

    Enter a URL that can be selected

    Web application

    Select a web application that should open.

  2. In Remote System, select a remote system which you have already defined in Remote Systems.

  3. In How to Open, you can select how the application should open (Open in Fullscreen, Open in New Tab/Window, Open in Dialog). An application opens by default in a new tab. If you select Open in New Tab/Window, the first time a user selects a tile, the user is asked a preference to either open the tile in a new tab or in a new window, and the preference is stored. Users can right-click the tile to change the preference, if required.

    The How to Open selection options are unavailable when you set the action type to Tile Group.
  4. Select Save.
