Import applications

To enable the application import in the App Designer, you must first create an empty application with a package.

Prerequisites

  • You have created an application that you want to import.

  • You have stored the application on your local computer.

Procedure

  1. In the Cockpit, select the App Designer.

    Result: The Neptune App Designer startup dialog opens.

  2. Select Create from File.

    Result: The Import dialogs opens.

  3. Locate the desired application file from your file explorer and select Import.

    Result: The Create dialog opens. The Name field is prefilled with the first encountered data in the file. If the file does not contain any data, the Name field is prefilled with the name of the file.

  4. In Type, select one of the following application types:

    • Application

    • Adaptive Template

    • Launchpad

    • Building Block

    • Custom Component

  5. In Package, select a development package from the list (optional).

  6. Select Create.

Results

  • You have created an empty application and have imported an application from file to the application into the App Designer.
