Upgrade to Neptune DXP - Open Edition 24 on Linux
This upgrade procedure describes the basic minimum steps required to upgrade to Neptune DXP - Open Edition 24 locally.
Prerequisites

You have prepared your upgrade as described in Upgrade prerequisites.
Procedure

Download the latest version of Neptune DXP - Open Edition for Linux from the product download section on Neptune DXP Portal.

Unzip the ZIP file to a location of your choice which is different from your current installation folder.
When upgrading Neptune DXP - Open Edition in a Docker environment, you must first make the upgrade file available inside the container. To do this, use wgetfrom within the container shell and download the file directly from the version-specific URL. Once the file is present in the container, proceed with the standard upgrade steps exactly as you would on a regular Linux system. -
Make sure you have followed the prerequisite steps and that your instance is stopped.

Open a Terminal on your Linux environment.

cd into your installation directory.

Replace the current Neptune DXP - Open Edition installation files with the following files from the ZIP file:

hana-client.node
-
libdbcapiHDB.so
-
LICENSES
-
planet9-linux
-

In the Terminal, run
./planet9-linux --upgradeand confirm the question on the command line withYes.Result: The schema of your database will be synchronized with the new Neptune DXP - Open Edition executable.

Once the upgrade has finished, your instance can be started and stopped in the usual way.

If this is your initial upgrade to the Neptune DXP 24 release, you now need to activate your license.
