Configure the layout of your launchpad

In this topic, you learn how to configure the layout of your launchpad on the basis of a so-called launchpad layout.

Prerequisites

In the Cockpit, go to Administration and select Launchpad.

Result: The table of existing launchpads open.
Select Create.

Result: The settings of the launchpad open in the General tab.
Go to the Layout tab.
In the Launchpad Layouts section, select a launchpad layout with a light appearance and a dark appearance that you created on the basis of a base UI5 theme in the Launchpad Layout tool.
In Launchpad Appearance Preference, select between the following settings to control the initial appearance of configured launchpad layouts for the end user.:

Default

The end use device or operating browser settings determine if a light or dark appearance is applied. The end user can change the appearance at any time.

Prefer Light

The first time an end user loads the launchpad, the preferred light layout appearance is used. The end user can change the appearance at any time.

Prefer Dark

The first time an end user loads the launchpad, the preferred dark layout appearance is used. The end user can change the appearance at any time.

Only Light

The ID for the launchpad layout is locked to a light appearance. The end user cannot change the appearance.

Only Dark

The ID for the launchpad layout is locked to a dark appearance. The end user cannot change the appearance.
