The following glossary definitions provide information about relevant terms related to license configuration of the Neptune DXP Platform.
Term | Definition |
---|---|
Trial license |
A trial license is a temporary online license that grants full access to all features and functionalities of the Neptune DXP Platform. It is initially valid for 90 days from the date of activation and can be renewed for an additional 90-day period. Once the trial license expires, all platform capabilities are locked until the trial license is renewed or replaced. The trial license supports up to two users and includes no usage restrictions during the trial period. |
Online license |
Online licenses are the default license type and are intended for systems with internet access. |
Offline license |
An offline license is a type of software license used for systems without internet access. It is configured using a custom license file provided by Neptune Software upon request, tailored to the specific system. Setting up an offline license involves a distinct configuration process and requires manual renewal. |
Customer license ID |
A customer license ID is an alphanumeric identifier used to uniquely recognize a customer on the license server. This ID links the customer to their license records and allows them to manage and use one or multiple licenses under a single customer account. |
