Create and run the Neptune Setup Helper

To use the Neptune Setup Helper, you must create and run the program from SAP GUI.

Prerequisites

Download the ZIP file for the Neptune Setup Helper from the Neptune DXP Portal (Neptune DX Platform - SAP Edition → Setup Helper).
Open the SAP transaction SE38.
Select Create and enter the program name ZNEPTUNE_SETUP_HELPER (or any name your prefer).
In the dialog that opens, in Title, enter Neptune Setup Helper.
In Type, select the application type 1 Executable program.
Select Save.
In the Create Object Directory Entry dialog, select Local Object.

If you intend to transport the Neptune Setup Helper to another system, assign it to a custom package in this step.
Delete all generated content from the input area.

Result: The input area in the program is empty.
In the input area, copy and paste the entire source code from the Neptune Setup Helper TXT file (ZNEPTUNE_SETUP_HELPER.TXT) that you downloaded.
Activate the program by selecting the Activate icon (Ctrl + F3).

Result: You have created and activated the Neptune Setup Helper program.

Open the SAP transaction SE38.
Enter the program name ZNEPTUNE_SETUP_HELPER.
Run the program by selecting the Execute icon (F8).

Result: The Neptune Setup Helper program opens with the step sequence to execute.

You have created and activated the Neptune Setup Helper program in SAP GUI.
You have run the Neptune Setup Helper in SAP GUI and can you use it to install Neptune DXP - SAP Edition and the corresponding configurations on your SAP system.
