Run Visualization

Launchpad configuration is based on a structured grid that defines tile sizing, placement, and responsive behavior. Because these values are configured across interdependent field selection and base theming, a visual reference helps confirm how settings translate into the final layout of the end-user launchpad experience.

The Run Visualization function opens the launchpad in a dedicated mode with an interactive grid overlay. This mode provides:

  • Visible grid structure showing columns, rows, and cells directly on the rendered launchpad

  • Click-based highlighting for inspecting specific grid areas and understanding how configuration values map to them

  • Tile-group visualization controls that display a small info box with the group’s cell count and occupied grid area.

The mode also includes a layout-width simulator to switch between desktop, tablet, and mobile form factors, reflecting how field selection in layout tooling adjusts tile arrangement and spacing according to base SAPUI5/OpenUI5 responsive theming and layout rules.

Together, these capabilities provide a direct view of how configuration settings affect layout behavior, supporting efficient adjustment and validation across all target device widths.
