Sources you can connect
A data source answers requests against a connected SAP system, and it can reach several kinds of capability on that system as well as non-SAP APIs. Whatever the kind, the orchestration engine catalogs, plans, and calls it the same way, so an agent can use a mix of them through one data source.
What you can connect
Use this to pick the right kind of source and to see what each one needs before it can be ingested.

Get a source ready to use
An agent can use a source once these are in place, in order:

The SAP system is connected as a remote system in Neptune DXP - Open Edition. This can be a Neptune DXP - SAP Edition instance or another SAP backend.

Any prerequisites for the source kind are met, from the table above.

The system has been ingested, so the source appears in the catalog. See Prepare and maintain a connected SAP system.

The data source grants the source’s services and operations. See Grant SAP services and operations.
