Use an OData Source in the App Designer
After you have created and saved an OData Source, you can build an app on it in the App Designer in one of following ways, depending on how much you want to control layout yourself and how much you want Neptune to generate for you:
- Bind a UI control manually

Attach an OData model to the app’s resources and bind individual controls, for example a table, to entity sets. This gives you full control over the layout and is the right starting point when you want to build the app structure yourself. See Bind an OData Source to a table.
- Generate a floorplan-based app

Generate a ready-to-run Fiori floorplan, a Worklist or an Object Page, directly from the OData Source using its context menu in the App Designer. Neptune creates the page, its table or form, and the navigation between them, so you get a working list-and-detail app without building each control by hand. Both approaches work with OData V2 and V4 sources.
