Supported Versions, Devices, and Browsers for SAP UI5 Development with Neptune DXP

For SAP UI5 development with Neptune UXP these are the supported versions and devices. The information can be found in detail here.

  • iOS - iOS is supported as of platform version 7

  • Android - Android is supported as of platform version 5.1.1

  • BlackBerry - Blackberry is supported as of platform version 10 (browser based)

  • macOS - On macOS, Safari browser is supported in version 7 or higher

  • Windows - 10. Internet Explorer 11+

As UI5 is based on CSS3, HTML5, and the new JavaScript API, only browsers with HTML5 capabilities are supported.

  • Microsoft Internet Explorer: 11+

  • Google Chrome: Latest version

  • Mozilla Firefox: Latest version

  • Apple Safari: 7+

Neptune UI5 applications can also run on rugged devices. We recommend the following minimum device specifications:

  • CPU - 1.5 GHz dual core processor

  • Memory - 2 GB RAM / 4 GB Flash MLC

  • OS - Android 5.1.1+

  • Browser - HTML5 capable

Any rugged device that does not meet the minimum criteria specified above needs to be tested individually regarding its UI5 compatibility (with the focus on HTML5 rendering and CPU performance).
