Email tool
An email tool provides the ability to send emails from an agent.
Template/No template email tool
After creating an email tool, you can select an email template for it. If you choose to select an email template, the agent must provide the email template defined variables when executing the tool.
If you choose to not select an email template, the agent creates a free form email, depending on the context of the query.
Either way, the agent will be required to set the recipient, and optionally CC/BCC of the email that is to be sent.

| You may be tempted to test this by writing to your agent "send me an email saying hi". For this to be successful, the agent needs to know your email address. Provide this via a prompt variable in the agent instructions. |
