Extended custom setting tabs
Beyond the General tab, the extended tabs offer additional controls for refining and managing custom settings.
Cockpit tab
Select one or more of the options to hide default Cockpit tiles:

Hide System Information Tile

Hide Updates Tile

Hide Featured DXP Marketplace Tile
Application tab
You can define tab width and print width for applications made in the App Designer.
- Minify Source Code

Select the checkbox to minify source code for App Designer applications globally. This setting overrides the individual application setting of an individual application that can be set in the side navigation option Application Settings in the App Designer.
Login Data tab
Define the look of your login screen.
Configuration
- Password Reset Email

Select a custom email template to send with password reset instructions, if the end user has forgotten their login password and needs to set a new one. If you do not select a custom email template, only an automatic token will be included in the email that is sent.
When you create a custom email template you can include, for example, the {=name},{=link},{=token}, and{=host}variables to provide more information to the end user during the password reset process. - Login App

Add an application that you want to use for login. This application can be downloaded from the Neptune DXP Marketplace as an application building block.
If the custom login app is broken and can’t be used to log in to the system, the default login page can be accessed from /public/login.html
Text
Define three text modules that you can show on your login screen. Use the text modules for privacy policy or other information to your end-users.
Translation
Add languages to translate up to the three text modules defined in the Text tab, by either manually entering translations per language or machine-translating selected languages via Google Translate.

Appearance tab
Launchpad & Login
Launchpad layouts are used to configure the appearance of launchpads, including the login page used to access the launchpad. Set default layouts here and they will be used as a default for launchpads and login pages.

Set default launchpad and login page appearance settings:
- Default (End user system settings decides)

The default layout appearance preference for launchpads in Neptune DXP - Open Edition. Either the default Neptune launchpad layouts or custom launchpad layouts with a light or dark appearance are displayed on the basis of the appearance of your browser or (mobile) operating system.
- Prefer Light

The default Neptune launchpad layout with a light appearance (Neptune Horizon Light) or a custom launchpad layout with a light appearance is applied for a launchpad, even if the browser or operating system settings are set to a dark appearance. At any time ,the launchpad user can choose to change the appearance to light or dark in the launchpad settings dialog.
- Prefer Dark

The default Neptune launchpad layout with a dark appearance (Neptune Horizon Dark) or a custom launchpad layout with a dark appearance is applied for a launchpad, even if the browser or operating system settings are set to a light appearance. At any time ,the launchpad user can choose to change the appearance to light or dark in the launchpad settings dialog.
- Only Light

Only the default Neptune launchpad layout with a light appearance (Neptune Horizon Light) or a custom launchpad layout with a light appearance is applied for a launchpad.
- Only Dark

Only the default Neptune launchpad layout with a dark appearance (Neptune Horizon Light) or a custom launchpad layout with a dark appearance is applied for a launchpad.
Select the respective launchpad layout for with a light and dark appearance:
- Default Light Layout

Select a default launchpad layout with a light appearance from the Layout dialog. Neptune DXP - Open Edition provides a launchpad layout with a light appearance (Neptune Horizon Light) by default.
- Default Dark Layout

Select a default launchpad layout with a dark appearance from the Layout dialog. Neptune DXP - Open Edition provides a launchpad layout with a dark appearance (Neptune Horizon Dark) by default.
Error Pages tab
You can select applications to customize the display of error pages for the following error response status codes:

403 (Forbidden)

404 (Not Found)

500 (Internal Server Error)
If you do not select an application, a default HTML template of the corresponding error response status code is displayed.
Language tab
- Default User Language

Set a default language for the system.
When you create a new local user, the default language is prefilled according to the language set for the system. - Add Additional Languages

Enter desired languages to activate them in your Cockpit as a comma delimited list with ISO code, name, and locale, for example,
