With OData Source, you manage all your OData sources. OData Source consumes data from an OData service that exists outside Neptune DXP - Open Edition.

With OData Source, you can add OData services and define parameters for your custom authentication and communication with endpoints.

OData versions and formats

The OData Protocol is a REST-based, open web protocol for sharing data in a standardized format. The protocol is built on web technologies such as HTTP and JSON. You can use OData with standard HTTP methods:

  • GET

  • POST

  • PUT

  • DELETE

The OData Protocol has multiple versions. DXP - Open Edition supports version 2 and version 4.
