Enable tile blackout

In this topic, you learn how to declare that a tile is under maintenance and cannot be reached in the launchpad.

Prerequisites

  • You have created a tile in Tile

Procedure

  1. In the Cockpit, go to Administration and click Tile Blackout.

    Result: The table of all tiles in the system opens.

  2. Click on the tile you want to stop. Result: A new window with general data about the tile opens.

  3. Click Edit.

  4. In the Blackout section, toggle the Enable button to Yes.

  5. In Button Text and Description, provide an explanation for the users why the tile cannot be reached.

  6. Click Save.

Results

  • The status from the tile has changed from running to blackout.

  • Users can no longer reach the tile via the launchpad.
