Activate Firebase and push notifications

In this topic, you learn how to activate Firebase in your Neptune DXP - Open Edition and how to enable push notifications.

Prerequisites

Procedure

  1. In the Cockpit, go to Settings and click System Settings.

  2. In the General tab, navigate to the Firebase - Push Notification section.

  3. Enter the values for Private API key, Public API key, and Message Sender ID you received from Firebase.

  4. Click Restart to apply the changes to your Neptune DXP - Open Edition.

  5. In the Cockpit, go to Administration and click Launchpad.

  6. From the table, click the launchpad you want to enable push notifications for.

  7. In the General tab, go to the Settings section and click Enable Push Notifications.

  8. Click Save.

    Result: Your device is on the list of subscribers in the launchpad if you run it.

Results

  • You have activated Firebase and push notifications in your system.
